Not your fault. When volunteers look at posts, there is a tag showing that you were asking about the mobile version, but it's not in the main post area so we sometimes answer without noticing it. To avoid that, it's helpful to mention it in the question.

On Gingerbread (Android 2.3.x), I do not see any print feature in Firefox for Android. There is the following multi-step approach that might work:

  • Save as PDF (menu > Save as PDF)
  • Open PDF from downloads in a print-capable PDF viewer (menu > More > Downloads) -- by default the Adobe PDF reader recognizes Google Cloud Print

How do other apps print on your Android 4.1 device?

Hi

The thing is that i have never had any reason to ask for this before i bought a Android Tablet. I wanted to use it to print work documents when siting in my sofa. :) And my work documents are from a website in Firefox or any other browser.

I have read that some manufacturers of wi-fi enabled printers (e.g., HP, Samsung) provide an app to enable wireless printing. However, you might need to download or PDF-convert the documents first, depending on how those apps work.

Why can't we have menu in Android Firefox to do the printing? like in the pc version.

It would be more convenient if Firefox could detect whether there are any printing methods available through other apps, but I suspect that it won't be added until it becomes a standard feature of the Android operating system.

Android does not have a default way to print a page.

A work around would be to have Firefox save a pdf of the page and then email that pdf to yourself which you can print at your convenience or attach your tablet to your desktop and copy over the file from the sdcard.

Though at that point you might as well just print the file using your normal desktop applications.

Hi and thanks for your replies!

I think now when Android is used on Tablets they should rethink this and give us a printing option. At least using a network printer or a wifi one.

Now i know that using my tablet for my work related things is not yet an option. :(
