I cannot download pdf or other documents. This is a brand new problem; I've been using Firefox successfully for years. I can download documents in Safari. I have the latest version of Firefox and also Adobe. I also cleared out all older versions of Adobe and reinstalled the most current version of Firefox

Hello ospreydad, 3.6 it is not the latest version for your 10.7 mac, 3.6 it is unsupported and the best is to get the latest firefox version :

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html

if after the installation of new firefox, you can not download files, then delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in profile folder and check it again.
