My external speakers no longer work in firefox, although there is sound without them. The external speakers do work using IE and windows media player.
Recently there has been no sound through my external speakers when using firefox. I have checked the mixer, and the settings seem okay. The sound works fine through the system speakers, but I prefer the external speakers, since I can turn the volume up higher. I thought it might have something to do with adobe flash, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, but to no avail. This just started last week, and I can't figure out what is going on. When I use windows media player, the external speakers work fine.
