I want to do everything I can to prevent snooping on my Mac. I'm running OS X Lion .7.2 and Firefox 7.0.1 I'm not satisfied with something that sites can either choose to honor or not. All these rotten javascripts, 1pixel square 'images' and iframes are unacceptable to me. I have nothing special to hide, I simply resent sites reading anything about my preferences, goings and comings other than whether they need to accommodate for IE's quirkiness or not and my IP address. Everybody's in on the user data mining bonanza. Microsoft, Google, on and on. Why aren't Firefox users told more about this and how to deal with it? How can I read urlclassifier3.sqlite so I can make my own judgments about which sites I don't want scripts, etc, sucked up from? Not in Mozilla's best interest?

The urlclassifier3.sqlite file contains information on known phishing sites that is used to warn you should you visit one. The information is downloaded by default from a Google database once a day. This functionality can be modified or turned off in “Tools → Options → Security / Tell me... forgery”.

Only one thing bothers me: Google makes millions by offering the same snooping and information recording services Firefox is asking them to tell us about so we can blacklist them. So, what do they leave off of that daily list??
