my firefix is totally in irish (gaeilge) and I can't change it to english, how can i have everything in english?

Download the UK or US English version from here and run the installation file: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
As a precaution, make a back of your Bookmarks first as follows:
- Click the orange Firefox button, go to Bookmarks, then Show All Bookmarks.
- Click the link at the top called Import and Backup.
- Click Export HTML and save the file somewhere.
If something goes pear-shaped, follow the same procedure, but choose Import HTML and navigate to where you saved the "bookmarks.htm" file.
