Why am I suddenly getting "0 bytes" when trying to download youtube video?
The youtube download add-on has worked like a champ, then suddenly today when I try to download a video, I get "0 bytes." At first, I thought this might be because we just got a new cable modem yesterday, but I've now seen references to youtube changing their site within the last day and that this has caused the problem. Unfortunately, the one thread I saw on this listed the question as "solved" because someone linked to a third-party plugin, but that only works for Windows. I'm a Mac user. Is there hope that Firefox will soon offer an update of the video downloader that plays nice with youtube? Or was my first suspicion, that the brand new cable modem, might be the issue?

Try downloading it with this site - can't help you with the problem of youtube download addon though
Thanks for the link, but it doesn't work. It looks like it's *trying* to download a video, but it never does. It's also just not a well designed service. It doesn't even tell you what format it downloads the video as (if it indeed did download the video). I assume flv, but it never says. Seems like a fly-by-night sort of service that's an excuse to market for-pay add ons. I could be wrong, but it isn't working for me at any rate.

My guess is that it will be incorporated into FF soon, but if you want to fix the problem now, you can download the updated version of the downloader here. It works great.
since I upgraded to firefox 3.6.8. I cannot download youtube video always 0 bytes. I need a little bit of help.

hi, i keep getting the obytes issue too, the same thing happend with the link u posted for the youtube downloader :(
i have fire fox 3.5.11 and using a MAC
