Why since 3.6.6 Video Watching in Firefox become a downright pain?
When I try and watch videos, on youtube especially, the controls for the videos are unresponsive and turn the entire browser unworkable until I minimize it and restore it. Also, if I try and enlarge the video, the video will freeze in its small version and audio will continue.
Lastly, if I have a few videos open on separate tabs, it slows down firefox to a crawl even though the memory usage is relatively light compared to what I am used to, 300k-ish.

I have approximately the same problem, except that after about 20-30 seconds, the video responds again if left alone. CPU/memory usage is relatively low.
similar issue... flash & silverlight video playback is choppy. video will pause and then resume as long as cursor is being actively moved around
I am having the same issues on you tube and other video specific websites everything is fine until i enlarge the picture then the screen goes white and stays that way until i reduce it again. this only started after the latest update and does not happen in IE
Same here,choppy video playback on youtube when trying to view hd video,,i know its not my system cause if i put internet explorer 8 on the hd video runs perfect.

In addition, I sometimes the video stops and I lose my network connection and have to reboot to get it back.
when enlarging a video the screen goes white..cant see and can barely here. taking the link or video to IE no problems at all
I was having the same issues but I found in another thread to update your codecs. I use the K-Lite codec pack. Here's the link. k-lite codec When you go there you can choose from any of the types from basic to mega. Any of them should work and when installing just use all the defaults. Just a reminder if you have installed the codec pack before or have other codec packs uninstall those before installing the new k-lite pack. I hope this helps.

I have the same problem with mind . I'm running windows xp and all vidieos are choppy. the sound is good but the picture come in frames.
Same problem - video freezes randomly when viewing from any site (including youtube/etc), and sound continues playing. When minimized and remaximized, it works again for a few seconds and freezes again. Really becoming a nightmare.
Note that playing video files from local system is problem free - so this only happens when in firefox.
Please fix!!
its been a whole month when is this issue going to be addressed and fixed
I have the same problem since I update firefox recently. When I open more than two video tabs, its easier for firefox to get unresponsive. Sometimes I have to force it to quit and restart. Does anyone have any solution for this?
