I have installed Thunderbird 154 in Linux Xubuntu 26.04 and I have Thunderbird working fine except for the scrollbar arrow buttons. I was able to set the scrollbars to always show but arrows do not show. What do I need to set to bring those arrow buttons back?

Found a workaround solution via a long investigation with AI.

Requires entries in Config Editor: widget.non-native-theme.gtk.scrollbar.allow-buttons = true widget.gtk.overlay-scrollbars.enabled = false

Create a file ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

Enter the following into the file: -GtkScrollbar-has-backward-stepper: true; -GtkScrollbar-has-forward-stepper: true;

The arrows are now back.
