I suddenly am unable to connect to the internet using firefox
I am suddenly not able to get websites to load using firefox. Pages still load using Explorer

Is there any error message?
No, no errors. Just sits and spins trying to open pages. Internet explorer is opening pages, but slowly, in distorted view, and wont open pictures, etc. Computer froze, rebooted, went through a disc check, deleted a bunch of files, and now things won't work. Tried a restore point, but it faulted and wouldn't restore.
It's an old computer, still running windows 7, but has still been working. I switched from ie11 a few years ago to firefox, and haven't had any issues until now. IE11 is somewhat working, but it won't let me download Edge (keeps saying the web link is bad to download it). Won't let me update/reinstall firefox either.
Start firefox with the -P parameter, create a new profile and test it there.
firefox.exe -P
