Hi, I ve got notified of new update for Firefox, "Read aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader has an update". Does it just add AI voices to T2S in Reeder Mode? I want to know because I have personal dislike for newer AI LLM voices and use of AI in general.

Thank you and best regards

Hi Natali

Personally, I would not regard text to voice as an LLM. It is not doing anything creative other than associating a line of text with the audio for that line of text.

I hope that this helps.

I don't mind old robotic t2s I use it regularly, I'm asking if the update ads new voices, that have been created in newest wave of AI. I disagree with creative part, newer models also try to mimic emotion etc. Based on somone else narrating/speaking. New AI LLM stole a lot of materials, or so they owners of said materials claim in court. I want no part of it.

I'm not asking about opinion, so please only answer if you for a fact know the answer to my question. Thank you
