When I try to sign in with my Mozilla account, firefox freezes

I can complete the sign in and enter my password, and then I get a spinning wheel and can no longer click on the tabs or minimize the window. I have to force close it and it shows as not signed it. I've also tried signing in using my phone and the QR code, same thing. This happens with or without 2FA, I turned it off and the issue persists. Everything else about the browser works completely but I can't sync across devices without the Mozilla login working.

This sounds more like a Firefox profile or Sync-related issue rather than a problem with the Mozilla account itself. I recommend trying the following steps, in order:

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to rule out internal conflicts

If the issue persists, try creating a new Firefox profile and sign in to your Mozilla account from there

Also make sure Firefox is fully up to date

If sign-in works in a new profile, the original profile is likely corrupted (including Sync data).
