Unable to Send out Emails from Thunderbird
Hello, I can receive email messages but unable to send them out. The error message I get follows:
The mail server responded,( bettyweber@shaw.ca sender) rejected AUP#POL. Verify your email address is correct in account settings.
What can I do to fix this in Thunderbird?
I checked with my service provider and I can receive and send messages through webmail but not Thunderbird.
Thanks. Betty

Select the account in the left pane of Account Settings, and confirm the Email Address in the right pane is your full address bet....@shaw.ca. Do you have multiple Shaw accounts? Can you send yourself a simple test message with no attachments?

Start with stating your outgoing settings. The correct ones are:
mail.shaw.ca, 587, STARTTLS, normal password, User Name = part of address before @, i.e. bettyweber
Using a VPN? Trying to send a large attachment?
Unfortunately, this did not work. I may have misunderstood your directions.
Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings:
Description: intentionally left blank Server Name: mail.shaw.ca Port: 587 Connection Security: STARTTLS Authentication Method: Normal password User Name: firstnamelastname of user

I do believe the problem is resolved. I sent a message to myself and it came through after I entered the password that password manager asked for. Also sent a message outside and it went through. Thank you!
I am having the same problem but cannot resolve the issue
