'Download bookmarks from Mozilla website
Hey there! It seems that my bookmarks are gone. I only see the place holder for them, but no link or anything else. What can I do? Is there a way to import the bookmarks from the Mozilla website? Curiously the bookmarks on Firefox Android are there, but I can't see an option to export the list from there. Many thanks for any help! Best, Wolfram

Thanks for your message, Denys. In the link you sent, the section on "My bookmarks have disappeared" seems more appropriate for me. I tried to restore the bookmarks from these backups, but get an error message "Unable to process backup file."
Dear all, I reinstalled firefox and tried to import the json backup file, but still get the error message "Unable to process backup file." Best, Wolfram

Could you please (temporarily) remove places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite from your profile folder, restart Firefox and try again?
