Nearly all emails from GitHub appear with correspondent peter099 regardless of actual origin
Why? And what can I do about it?

find peter099 in your address book and correct the associated email address ( you could click the icon beside the from name entry in your uploaded image to find the entry being used), or delete the address book entry, or turn off pretty names in settings. Mine are turned off and always have been. I am not a fan of the feature.
