You need to first explain what these icons invoke, as that does not seem to be a Thunderbird function.

On my Desktop, I have second icon for thunderbird. My desktop will back on Friday. But I have to close Thunderbird email to use. The second Icon does backup or restores! You may be able to rightclick on the desktop and see the name of the application. That may also show the location of the program.
