
Can't receive or send emails
I can no longer access Thunderbird emails or send emails. I tried doing a New Account, but get a "can't find" error message. I closed down my computer and took out the battery, I deleted and reloaded Thunderbird, I did my manual settings, I did the New Account settings repeatedly, and I tried the Thunderbird look up. Nothing gets my email back. Everything else works on my computer as it should. Gmail works and my link to my IP gets me email through their site. I can't send or receive at all, and my previous emails are now gone.

Who is your e-mail service provider? Do you have the settings that they require for incoming (IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) messages?
I have done all that with their tech support. They can connect as me from their end, but they have no clue as to why I can't. EVERYTHING else works as they should, except for Thunderbird connecting. I know my settings by heart by now, but I do appreciate your kind reply.
So, are you asking for assistance? I doubt anyone here can assist without knowing exactly what your settings are. Otherwise, all we can do is sit and watch.
Yes, would you please post your incoming and outgoing server settings and tell us exactly what happens after you enter your settings manually?
