In the distant past, I used to be able to set Firefox to NOT auto-highlight the URL-bar when I single-click. At some point Firefox removed this ability. I was wondering in 2025 if there is some workaround to get this function working again. I would like to have Firefox work this way: -a single click places the cursor in the URL-bar without any highlight (if I want the entire URL-bar highlighted, I will use CRL+L) -a double-click will highlight a specific word or content between two dots (e.g., double-clicking on "mozilla" will highlight just mozilla in support.mozilla.org -it's fine with me if a triple-click highlights the entire URL-bar but I don't require it.
