using 64 bit Linux here.

I download an update, but it doesn't do anything. It constantly tells me I need to download an update. Currently using 133.0.3

I managed to get an update through Linux, but now I'm having trouble with Linux. I suspect I need to remove Firefox and reload it. I tried to do that one time but it didn't fix the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jim

What OS? What Desktop? X!! or Wayland?

I'm currently having a similar issue with my Mozilla version 135.0.1. Go to help and then About. Downloads the update, I click restart to update, but it comes back as 135.0.1. Tried several times, but no joy. Seen this same issue a few ago. Enough about my issue...

Which Firefox are you working with Distro or Mozilla?

Just updated the other browsers with no issue. So updating from 135.0.1 to 136.0 is an issue right now.

Jonzn, thanks for the reply.

1) using Linux mint

              Dell optiplex 760
              firefox 133.0.3  64 bit

I've been having this problem for over a year, updating from firefox. Three months ago I managed to update through Linux, but now I'm having problems with Linux. "could not refresh the list of updates". So I decided to work on Firefox first. Is it possible Firefox thinks I'm part of a group and the group administrator is the only one that can update Firefox?

2) I really don't understand how to use this forum. I received an email response so I came here. I did a search for "Jonzn" and started looking through the messages until I found this one. Is there a method to go straight to the message I want?

My Mozilla version 135.0.1 updated today to 136.0. see screenshot The emails link back to the thread. I stopped getting them because it's tooooo many. Are you working with your distro browser or Mozilla? If distro you should run something like apt install firefox to update or if your distro has a package manager similar to YAST. see old screenshot If Mozilla version, it took a few days before 135.0.1 updated to 136.0
