Not sure how bad the malware is but. i tried to get my main accounts sorted with a new password as soon as i found out my identity could be at risk . saying that though , I have had my Fb page disabled ! Amazon keep telling me my payment was declined , when i havent shopped with them recently . couldnt cancel ..... so i completley took all payment cards out and left ... Apparantly affects google accounts aswell .... but overall its totally had me going round in circles ? So hope someone can help ...... i thought the new firefox update may have some fix ? There dont seem to be any help ? Im at the point of re-installing Windows ... Cheers to any one who can help

The Amazon failed payment is a SCAM considering you said you didn't use them. That's most likely how you got infected clicking on a fake email. At this point if you used the same login for all accounts and they were linked that would guess your other accounts got infected. Sounds like a computer shop would have to look at this issue in more depth to find the root of the problem here.

I think unfortunately you have to work with Facebook on that: https://www.facebook.com/help/105487009541643

Amazon keep telling me my payment was declined , when i havent shopped with them recently . couldnt cancel ..... so i completley took all payment cards out and left ...

That sounds like the right move, since there are sites where you can "Pay with Amazon" and thus tap your payment card on file with Amazon.

Apparantly affects google accounts aswell ....

Paying with your Google wallet also is a thing on various sites.

In addition to the system-level malware scan, please check your extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. On the right side, find the "Manage Your Extensions" heading.

If there is at least one extension before the next heading -- "Recommended Extensions" -- please continue:

Then cast a critical eye over the list below that heading. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything suspicious or that you just do not remember installing or why? If in doubt, disable (or remove). For your privacy and security, don't let mystery programs linger here.

Any improvement?

If there are no extensions listed or you cannot view the page:

Some extensions interfere with using the Add-ons page, presumably for their own protection. Restart Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to deactivate them so you can do the cleanup:

If Firefox is running:

You can restart Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Help > Troubleshoot Mode... (before Fx88: Restart with Add-ons Disabled)
  • (menu bar) Help menu > Troubleshoot Mode... (before Fx88: Restart with Add-ons Disabled)

and OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button (before Fx88: "Start in Safe Mode" button).

If Firefox is not running or that page is inoperable:

Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.) A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button (before Fx88: "Start in Safe Mode" button).

Note: Don't use the Refresh without first reviewing this article to understand what will be deleted: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
