Hi, I am unable to acess this website and get the following error. About 10 days ago access was ok, but it suddenly stopped. Is this a broswer issue or a ISP issue or both ? HTTPS://KE9NS.COM

I am running the MS antivirus software and I tried other browsers which also dont work. BT is the ISP and they are also looking into it as its only this website which wont open. Running the latest firefox ofcourse. I tried TOR and it works ok.

Hi

I use the same ISP and can access the site without a problem.

Looking at the error message that you are getting, this support article should help:

Are you using a proxy or VPN?

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

I have passed this onto the website owner in the US, which is about as much as I can do. Now to just sit tight and wait. Thanks for the replies !

Good luck with this. He'll probably tell you to use Chrome. If you have no further questions for us, mark this issue as resolved and enjoy.

Is Firefox to blame seeing that the website passed the SSL test ?

If I have to use Chrome, then this must prove that Firefix browser is at fault ?

Try to rename the cert9.db file (cert9OLD.db) and remove a possible previously used cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to remove intermediate certificates and exceptions that Firefox has cached.

If this has helped to solve the problem then you can remove the renamed cert9OLD.db file. Otherwise you can undo the rename and restore cert9.db.

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
