Since I updated my Mac to macOS Ventura, Thunderbird takes ages to load. It can take up to 1-2 minutes. I tried a re-install, but this did not help.

Hi,

sorry for the delayed answer, I did not see your first response. It turned out that the root cause of this problem is actually an issue in macOS Ventura. If you turn on Google Contact Sync in the central system settings, the whole contact sync service runs amok. And this also causes Thunderbird to stall for minutes on each startup. Maybe you could investigate this further on your end, so Thunderbird could avoid the stall situation somehow. Once you turn off Google Contact Sync, everything gets back to normal. But your sync is lost, of course, which is suboptimal.
