Restore deleted browsing history
I haven't deleted my browsing history since 2021 September, but I wish to restore browsing history from 2021Jan-2021Sep for some reasons.
I am using mac, latest version of macOS and latest version of firefox. I have read some similar articles (https://support.mozilla.org/fy-NL/questions/1290163) but it doesn't help. It says I need to go through "Start" > "Search" > "Tools" > "Folder Options." . I cannot find folder options, and I cannot find index.dat inside my mac. What can I do ? Any help is appreciated.

Firefox doesn't keep a backup of the history like is done for the bookmarks in the backup in the bookmarkbackups folder. You would need a backup copy of places.sqlite to recover lost history.
If you use the Time Machine or other backup then try to restore the places.sqlite file from this backup.
You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
