I can't send emails
I can't send emails out of Thunderbird but can receive them, not sure what to do? Is there a phone number I can call with Thunderbird for help? I'm not that savvy with all this.

You'll probably give up on me. Like I said I'm not all that savvy with computers and all I know is if it works or not and not how to fix. but thank you. ray
When you are logged on to the webmail account you are already accessing the server, so emails is created and sent from server. When you use thunderbird, the email first has to be sent to and received by the server before the server sends it onwards. The server (smtp) has spam filters which you have to get passed before the server allows the email onwards. So you cannot compare the two as they are operating differently. It just proves that the smtp server is blocking you.
I'm thinking what else could be blocking you for such a long time..... You mention you use a POP account. In Thunderbird, Pop accounts can be set up to 'Leave message on server', do you use that setting? Do you store a lot of old mail on the server - as seen when you logon to webmail account ? Is it possible you are constantly hovering very close to using a full quota? There is only one way to find out and eliminate it from potential problem.
Please logon to webmail account using a browser. As you already have a copy in Thunderbird, please delete all the older emails from webmail account and empty the webmail 'Spam/Junk' and 'Trash' folders. So only keeping emails that are approx 3 months old. This should release alot of space on the server.
Yes, I am guilty of saving, and I do have a lot of emails from friends etc in separate folders. Some of these friends have passed away and really don't want to delete them. Is there a way to save them in an offline file on my computer so that I can delete them from Thunderbird to allow it to work again?

You said you are using a POP account and the data you provided agrees with this. So they are already stored on your computer. You can read them whether you are online or offline. Pop accounts do not synchronise with server folders. Pop accounts and their folders are completely independent of the server. Do not delete them from the Thunderbird pop mail account.
You can test if you can read them offline by clicking on the 'Offline/Online' icon located bottom left in Status Bar.
If you really want to tidy the pop account, then copy the emails into a suitable folder in the 'Local Folders' mail account.
Logon to the webmail account via a browser. If you can also see those old emails on the server, you can delete them off the server via the webmail account. You need to delete all the old mail off the server and you can only do this by logging on the webmail account. Deleting emails off the server via the webmail account has no effect on a Pop account in Thunderbird. It would only effect an Imap mail account in Thunderbird and you do not use an Imap account.
