Since an update a few weeks ago, every time I enter an address or tap one of my most visited sites, instead of continuing on from the previous site, it opens a new tab.

I've scoured the settings but can't find anything. Surely this is a bug? I end up with 10 tabs within minutes. Can't understand what the purpose of this change is
