Hello,
The email alerts are sent to your DE's notification provider.
Please check your DE's preferences to move the notifications, or tell me what DE you are using, and I will figure out how for you.
Hi,
GNOME 41.1
Thunderbird; - preferences "Show an alert" = on (thunderbird notification) "Use the system notification" = off (system notification)
When system notification is on, i get 2 notifications about a single email alert with 2 different messages. also it is in the top center like normal notifications.
so i turned off the system notification option where it only shows 1 single alert.
like the idea of only 1 notification and it opens thunderbird when i click on it. (also contains more data)
thank you
I do not see a way to move the inbuilt notification, but if your goal is to remove the "" is ready message, there is an extension https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/234/steal-my-focus/ that does this. Please note, you will need to edit the metadata.json to allow your shell version, but it should work.
thank you
