Firefox Browser Won't Load Background Images
Starting earlier this week my Firefox suddenly stopped being able to load background images. Every website I visit looks very strange and often is unusable. I'm running Mac 10.14.6. Tried several things including uninstall and reinstalling Firefox and no difference.
Attached are screenshots of espn.com in Safari where you can see the gray bar at the top and box around the dropdown window background. This is happening on EVERY website. Help!

This could be a problem with High Contrast Mode on Mac. See "New" in the release notes. Firefox now automatically enables High Contrast Mode when "Increase Contrast" is checked on MacOS in the Accessibility settings.Прочитайте этот ответ в контексте 👍 1
Make sure you allow pages to choose their own colors.
- Settings -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors: "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above"
Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.

Thank you FredMc! That Mac Accessibility "increased contrast" setting was the culprit.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing.
