If you swipe down from the top of the screen while a download is in progress, you should be able to cancel the download process from the Android notification.

Swiping down from the top or trying to expand the Mozilla Firefox Notification Tab in the Notification Drawer is not expanding the Tab.

Swiping down from the top or trying to expand the Floating Notification is not working either.

Irrespective of any download, are you able to see the Android notification area when you swipe down from the top of the screen on your Android device?

Can you swipe the download notification to one side (from left to right) to close it?

Yes, it closes if all downloads are finished. If there are ongoing downloads the notification simply reappears.

Are you downloading multiple files?

Sometimes, mostly it's single downloads though.

You should be able to use that Android notification to stop the download if it is in progress.

I am unable to use that Android notification to stop the download when it is in progress. When I tap or slide down on that notification I see no prompt to stop/pause/cancel the download in progress.

If you tap the down arrow animation next to the word "Firefox" in the notification, do you see buttons to cancel the download?

The problem is resolved. I started a download today and was able to see the options to pause or cancel the ongoing download. Perhaps the latest update resolved the issue. Thank you for your help.
