Firefox does not respond anymore

For some reason, my Firefox installation suddenly became unusable. If I launch it from the Menu, Panel or simply via terminal command "firefox", it does not respond to input. It will only respond after minimizing and maximizing the window again. In Troubleshooting Mode it does work fine as well if I launch it from Ubunut Software Boutique. I don't know what makes the difference here.

What I tried:

  • Created new profile - No change
  • Remove + Reinstall (incl. manually deleting /usr/lib/firefox, /usr/lib/firefox-addons & mozilla folder) - no change
  • Refresh - no change

Installation Details: Firefox 89.0 64Bit OS: Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver

Any help is appreciated.
