I have what should be a very easy and very specific issue with one website, but I use the site as my homepage, so its aggravating. I use Firefox 84.0.1 with a Windows 10 Professional desktop.

Up until about a week ago, links to articles listed on news.google.com worked in Firefox. I could follow them to their particular websites. Now they don't. Every link listed returns a blank page in a new tab (setting mine) when I click on it. I seem to remember and upgrade in Firefox around that time.

Measures I've taken: 1) I did deactivate all of my add-ons, then restarted Firefox. Same result. 2) I went through all of the Firefox options looking for one that might have this effect. I couldn't find anything that worked. 3) I've tried Firefox on my Android tablet: it works! 4) I've tried navigating clicking on the links using Edge. It also works.

So, the problem appears to be in the current Firefox version, operating under Windows 10.

Do you know why is this happening? What can I do about it.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
