Edition Windows 10 Home Single Language Version 20H2 OS build 19042.685 Firefox 83.0

Situation: If I clear my web content and delete al the cookies for Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) (https://my.navyfederal.org/NFOAA_Auth/login.jsp - Image 1) ) I can log in to the web site with no problems. I get the 2 factor security code by email and it enables me to view my accounts. However, after I log out, I cannot log back in again Example: When I start to re-log in, after I enter my userID and password (Image 1) , I am taken to an Online Banking signon page (Image 2) but it only stays on screen for a couple of seconds and then reverts back to the main login page, i.e., https://my.navyfederal.org/NFOAA_Auth/login.jsp. (Image 1) In order to log back in to the website I must delete the web content, the NFCU cookies and refresh the browser page in Options>Privacy & Security.

The Online Banking signon page (image 2) also has a button to check to have the site remember me so I don't have to get the 2 factor code every time, but that does not work in Firefox 83 either.

I have no difficulty in logging in or re-logging in to that site using IE, Edge or Brave Browser. I had no problems logging in using Firefox 82 and below. So it appears that the issue is in FF83.

I asked NFCU about tis and they replied as follows: "The Mozilla Firefox browser just updated to 83.0 on 11/17/2020. There are times in which Firefox does not like to connect to our servers after an update. It can take some time for Navy Federal to connection properly with Firefox again. However, this would not affect the 2-Step Verification system.

A few things can cause the 2-Step Verification to prompt upon every login. If you have your web browser clear your cache and cookies upon closing, this will prevent the 2-Step information from being store [I do not use that setting] . The same thing happens when you use Private or Incognito browsers. [I have not been using private or incognito browsers except Brave and I am not having problems in that browser] There are also certain security systems that will prevent the 2-Step information from being store as well. I have Malwarebytes free running in the background, but I took it out and that did not fix the problem, so I reinstalled it. I use MS Windows Defender as my main security program with Superantispyware on demand. I run my default browser (FF) in Sandboxie, running FF outside of the sandbox and it has the same problem. I have tried disabling extensions, running the browser in troubleshooting mode, safe mode, etc. I don't know what else to try to get a permanent fix for this.
