Firefox disappeared off my new computer

My daughter installed my computer and everything started as normal 4 days ago. Today when I press the Firefox icon I get told by Google 'server can not be found'. The Firefox Get Started is in the toolbar so I got in that way and went to 'Refresh Firefox' which seemed to work okay but I am still getting the Google 'server can not be found' page. What do I do now?
