Audio Static on Mulaw Files

When playing mulaw wave files on Firefox, I get a lot of static, much more than I do on Chrome.

I tried using Firefox 78 and 76 on Windows 10 and on Linux Mint 19.3

I use the default theme, no extensions, only the basic plugins: OpenH264 from Cisco and Widevine Content Decryption Module from Google.

Is this a known issue? Is there already a ticket for it, and if not, how can I create one?
