After updating the 64 bit version of TB via 'Help/About', why has it updated to a 32 bit version?
I updated my wifes PC to Version 68.5 (64 bit). After checking Help/About on my own PC, I realised my version was only 68.4.1 (64bit), but I then saw the link to 'Restart to update' which I clicked.
But it updated to 68.5.0 (32 bit) (according to help/about), what is going on?

Do you by any chance have both the windows32bit and the windows64bit programs installed? You should only have one, not both.
Check in these locations: Thunderbird windows64bit would be here: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\
Thunderbird windows32bit would be here: C:\Program Files(86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\
Weirdly enough, I only have the 32 bit version installed (in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\ )
My Wife had problem writing an e-mail, a problem I didn't exist in my copy. So I checked my copy, I'm sure that Help/About showed that I had ver 68.4 (64 bit), which is why I updated the wife's copy to the latest 64bit version, as she only had 32 bit version.
I updated her to ver 68.5 (64 bit). I then decided to update my PC, as this version was later than mine.
I'm beginning to doubt myself now.
Question: If I had updated to ver 68.5 (32bit) in error, would it have cleared the 64bit files from C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\ directory?
