How to add a backup copy of Thunderbird mail sub-folder to an existing installation - 1 folder only

Размещено

I deleted an account from my Thunderbird installation since I was no longer using the email address. I've just discovered I need to access some of the emails stored in a folder of that account. I have the folder file and the .MSF file. Is it possible to import that folder somehow to an existing, different account? I tried recreating the original account, but the connection fails (not surprisingly), so I can't seem to do it that way. Thank you for any help!

With TB closed, copy an mbox file from Mail/<deletedpopaccount> or ImapMail/<deletedimapaccount>, the large file with no extension (ignore the .msf file) into Mail/Local Folders. When you restart TB, the folder should appear under Local Folders. If the folder has a large number of messages, don't try to drag them to an IMAP folder of an active account; leave them in LF, or move small numbers at once, if necessary.
