Hi,

Firefox Monitor let verify that passwords aren't obviously compromised which is a great feature. I'm surprised that I can't find a direct option in Thunderbird or an addon who do the verification with passwords stored in Thunderbird password manager.

Thank you very much !

It is a web site, you enter your email address.

https://monitor.firefox.com/

But perhaps your expectation is based on their being some link between Firefox and Thunderbird development. There is not. They are separate teams employed by separate groups.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. I'm quite aware of that. But it should be a so good idea to integrate an option in Thunderbird or in a Thunderbird addon that securely submit saved passewords to Firefox Monitor. People who use Thunderbird have often dozen of accounts and do that manually is uselessly boring and an a worse option in term of security and I thought security was a main concern of Mozilla especilally currently. So if somebody want to work on this

It's not the passwords that get submitted for monitoring. It's the email addresses that get monitored. Add your addresses manually for monitoring.

Wouldn't it make more sense to integrate TB passwords with Lockwise?

You're right, send the password would be a bad idea. But let Thunderbird do the job with an easy option would still be a good improvement in security, because lot of people (like me) who don't use it would use it.

Moreover, perhaps you don't want that all your email addresses are registered under the same firefox account and you would prefer that they are submitted separately to Firefox Monitor.

That's two different things. But I think that both will be a good (and perhaps not so hard to do) idea.
