Recent OS X update TB not working
Hi I have a mac and am running Catalina 10.15.1 I also have the latest version of TB running. About two weeks ago the os x updated. Ever since I have been unable to use two of my three email accounts, unistalling and reinstalling does not help. It seems that there is now some incompatibility between the two systems. Tried reinstalling email account - info is not recognised. Oddly my wife has an iPhone and all three email accounts are working ie incoming and outgoing on her 'phone! Any thoughts? PS I am an old man so please keep any responses simple.Thank you.

Is this another recent convert to the anti virus works on mac's? it is t5he primary cause of send receive problems on Windows.
If you are still having difficultly, please post an update
Sorry to say the only solution was to totally uninstall TB.This of course meant the loss of 6 years of work and email files. Very disappointed at the lack of support from TB.
I am very disappointed as well.. do you have an anti virus?... I still have no idea. But I guess that you do and I am supposed to guess what it is and tell you how to use it.
Removing Thunderbird does not remove the mail and contacts, unless you go out of your way to make that happen.
So the solution is you communications ability was not up to the task really. Mine is not good, but I can only do what I am able to.
