My computer crashed while updating Widows 10 and lost all contacts and emails.
Last Friday Windows forced an update and crashed half way through. 11/2020 I took it to a computer shop and he was able to restore all files but said I would have to reload apps. I redid Thunderbird but have lost all contacts and emails. How do I get these back?

And I had not done a backup of Thunderbird.
If all files were restored, see if you can find the old profile folder. Every profile contains the abook.mab file (Personal Address Book), so search for that to find the profile location (enable viewing of hidden files and folders). If you can find the old profile, reply here for further instructions.
Thanks but I can not find that folder and might have had my old email set to pop3.
