The view is stored in the session.json file in the profile folder. If it's not working, you can delete or rename it and a new one will automatically be created when TB is closed. Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder, close TB, then delete or rename the file. Open and close TB a few times and see if the scroll position is remembered.

Thanks for reaching out. I think thinks are different in 68.0. The start time refers to when the work day starts (which is time range with different shading). There is no setting view start time.

You're right, there's no setting for the start time - it's midnight. But I note that the scroll bar position in Day or Week view is remembered between TB restarts, so that if the window was scrolled to show 8:00 a.m. at the top at TB exit, it window looks the same when TB is restarted (TB 60 & 69b). Does that at least work on your system?

sfhowes, That's what it used to do in earlier versions. I've tried it several times but the latest view when exiting does not save.

Today I've updated to 68.0. When I move between Day and Week views, or in the Week, view when I change the week, it scrolls back to midnight.

Deleting the session.json file didn't help me.

I did have it get stuck with always scrolling to about 10:30 a.m. for a little while, I didn't know what I did to get it to do that, but soon after it went back to scrolling to midnight.

Update: I've installed 69beta and it has the same behaviour before and after deleting the session.json again.

Manjaro: 68 installed with pacman, 69beta installed from the AUR.

only 'issue' is that there is no longer a session.json file. Doesn't appear to matter. My calendar has 8am at the top. thanks!

spoke too soon. when session.json file is recreated calendar starts at 4am again.

There is a bug that deals with button and tab layouts in Calendar not being retained, which appears to be an issue with reading session.json, so the scroll issue here may be related.

This issue doesn't just occur when exiting/restarting Thunderbird. The issue occurs tabbing between the Calendar and Inbox tabs. Every time I go back to the Calendar the day starts at midnight. I have to scroll the calendar to get back to 8am to actually show the workday every time I toggle back to the Calendar tab.

I can't reproduce this on TB 68.2.2/W10, either with my working profile or a completely new profile created by TB 68. The scroll box in the Calendar Day tab does not change when switching back and forth to other tabs.

Does it happen in a new profile? Help/Troubleshooting, about:profiles, Create a new profile. It can be tested without adding an account.

I don't have the Owl plug-in and it is still a problem. This is not resolved the bug report should not have been closed.

This bug has not been fixed, and the related bug, which may affect the issue in this thread, is apparently fixed in 71+, which are not release versions. So, I don't think any fixes have yet made their way to the 68 branch.
