why is this browser no longer able to go to a site it used to?
YES I WANT TO SCREAM. This seems like it is nothing more than an effort to sabotage it is so stupid on the part of this browser. I go to a site and click the link to comment. I had no problem getting to that point before, now i get a message that says "this page sin't re directing properly." WHY? I read that maybe i need to clear the cookies. GLAD TO. but I cannot find out where they are to clear them out. I look all around in security, i look all around in general. i am so sick of this happening. I have to go to my outbox to fetch the email. You KNOW THIS IS GETTING TIRESSOME this browser isn't working for me anymore. I don't find it helpful, i don't find it is protecting anything it is just a nuisance. SO I AM LOOKING FOR OTHER BROWSER. IF YOU USE CHROME YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE A PERSONAL TRACKER, I'M SURE EVERYONE HAS READ THE NYT ARTICLE.A SO I LOOKED INTO mozilla pale moon and then looked into reviews and came across this" Why You Shouldn’t Use Firefox Forks Like Waterfox, Pale Moon, or Basilisk.......... and it goes on and on about each. I didnd't read about all because I just want a fast, responsive browser that isn't going to make me crazy. it said good things about firefox quantum -- I DO NOT KNOW if that is what i have now, i don't think so, but I do not want any headaches, i never want to be blocked from a site over friggin' cookies nd not be able to quickly clear them out. and then it says this: "Even if you don’t completely trust some of Mozilla’s business decisions, your browser is just too important to be left to a small community of enthusiasts. We think it’s best to go with a big project with a large number of developers that receives a lot of attention to security. I haven't read on, but look, I if until i can find what i can live with, I would be grateful for some help in finding out HOW NOT TO MAKE THIS BROWSER HARASS THE HELL OUT OF ME BY BLOCKING ME FROM GETTING AN EMAIL, WHEN I BLOODY WELL KNOW CNN IS A FINE SITE, AND PLEASE, I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO HUNT ALL OVER HOW TO CLEAR COOKIES, WHERE ARE THEY? I HAVE ALLOWED ALL THESE SITES EVERYWHERE I CAN SEE TO IMPUT EVERY SITE SO THAT THE BROWSER KNOWS THAT IS IT OKAY.
I WOULD BE SOOOOOOOOOOOO GRATEFUL JUST TO FIND A WELL SECURED BROWSER THAT ISN'T GOING TO MAKE ME WANT TO SCREAM BECASUE i CAN'T GET TO A SITE I WELL KNOW IS FINE, AND NOT A BOUTIQUE BROWSER, BECAUSE I THINK I CAN WELL SEE WHERE "A SMALL GROUP OF ENTHUSIASTS" CAN BECOME DISRUPTIVE TO PEOPLE TRYING TO FIND AN EMAIL. DOES ANYONE AT ALL THINK YOU CAN PLEASE HAVE A SUGGESTION? EVEN IF IT IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH MOZILLA? or GOOGLE. THANKS AND I APPRECIATE IT IF YOU CAN GRASP HOW IRRITATING THIS IS AND JUST TRY TO HELP...... THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH!

Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- (Firefox 57 and above) Click the Library button
and choose History.
(Click the menu button
and choose History in older Firefox versions.)
- In the History menu, choose "Clear Recent History...".
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the "Clear Now" button.
Further information can be found in the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox article.

Do you see the little "i" in a circle, at the left end of the address bar ? When you click on it, you will get a dropdown, and at the bottom you'll see : "Clear Cookies and Site Data" ......

THANK you for responding. But I did this and I have to say it is a BIG FAT PAIN IN THE ASS TO BE LOGGED OUT OF SITES THAT I WANT TO STAY LOGGED INOT It seemed to helkp, i didn't get that big FAT AGGRAVATING BLOCK But let me say this clearly, I don't want that to ev en happen at all, I don't want to have to do this clear this and that whereas I am logged out of EVERYTHING. I AM ONLY logged into the newspapers but still what a headache. i couldn't find my wapo password, so i had to create a new one, usually i am very organized and the thign is I JUST DONT' WANT TO GO THROUG THIS. What browser is user friendly NOT A BOUTIQUE BROWSWER where peoiple are going to be tinkering with this and that, just A VERY SECURE BROWSER THAT IS FAST, AND DOESN'T ANNOY ME? I DON'T CARE IF IT IS MOZILLA OR OTHER. NOBODY SHOULD GO THROUGH THIS. I really appreciate you r help, but I don't wangt to have to see being blocked because everyone like this is going to keep cookies, that is what they do if you want to use the damn site. what can you suggest? i am really very unhappy with this. I don't think enough use it that the people who work in it constantly change it, they constantly tamper around when they need to just STOP DOING THAT and make this browser sio it works for me, not against me.
Firefox can log you back into sites with the required log in details you choose to save.
Read through Preferences ? about:preferences#privacy
Self finds choosing settings which include to Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed causes no real problems, enables browser to open quicker to resume tasks.
Using Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites does not delay my logging into sites
BTW self is required to keep elsewhere, so do not save high security passwords in there.
People needs understand their limits, also the limits of systems we use and depend on...
