Hi john1969, after you create a custom site permission in the Page Info dialog, and before you exit out of Firefox, can you confirm that the custom permission is in the Exceptions list opened by the "Manage Permissions" button:
If that list is getting cleared between sessions, can you make sure Firefox is not set to do that?
Further down the page, in the History section, select:
Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
Is the box checked for "Clear history when Firefox closes"? If so, click the "Settings" button to the right make sure that Site Preferences is not set to be cleared (box is not checked). Those Site Preferences include the custom permissions.
Like posted above in case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.
- do not clear the Cookies
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history":
[X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings
- clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
- clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an Allow exception you may want to keep
I will give these a try. WOW.
Privacy so tricky. lol
THANKS
