Lost profiles.ini file & xxxxxxxx.default name

Размещено

Emails no.longer available online Have offline data file .thunderbird/xxxxxxxx.default/ImapMail/imap.xxxxx.com but not profile or anything above imap.xxxxx.com & unable to reliably access offline data.

Droping contents of imap.xxxxxx.com file into a new profile occasionally seems to work. But nit enough times to let me sort emails

Can you help solve this problem please?

Imap mail accounts get a virtual view to access stored emails on the server. So if no emails show in that imap account when it connects to server, it is because you are connecting to a server that has no emails.

re: Have offline data file .thunderbird/xxxxxxxx.default/ImapMail/imap.xxxxx.com

You cannot simply copy that imap.xxxxx.com over nor files within it as they will get erased to match what is on server. You need to import those backed up mbox files in the backup imap.xxxxx.com folder into the 'Local Folders' mail account.

Use 'ImportExportTools' addon extension to import the mbox files (they have no extension) into 'Local Folders' mail account. Right click on 'Local Folders' mail account, select 'ImportExportTools' > Import mbox files.

ImportExportTools addon:

Then put copies of emails from 'Local Folders' mail account back into repective imap folders to get them back on server. OR leave them in 'Local Folders' as you will still have access.
