My Firefox is working just fine, so why is it critical to update it??
It seems like every time an update from Firefox or from Microsoft is made I experience problems. That is why i do not want any updates!!!!! Thanks, cruise2tgr

Microsoft and Mozilla are not the same. Problems from Microsoft can't be addressed here and is something you need to contact Microsoft support for. As for firefox since you don't list or detail what the problem is no one is going to know what is happening. And anything is just guessing here.
I sort of know you do not have control with Microsoft. So erase the word Microsoft and apply the remainder, and what do ya got? Bibidy, Bobdy, Boo!!! Thanks, cruise2tgr
Mozilla releases public reports of the security vulnerabilities fixed in older versions of Firefox. You can review those to see whether any of them motivate you to update.

There have been some feature changes since Firefox 57. For example: if you customize your bookmark descriptions, you may prefer to switch to the Extended Support Release track because in Firefox 62+, those descriptions are not longer visible. Instead, you would use an add-on to keep notes on your bookmarks.
