If you do not soon give me a way to block Yahoo I'll move to another browser, so how do I do this?

I hate Yahoo. I have never used it and now Firefox is forcing me to see it. You must put in place a simple solution to block Yahoo if a Firefox user wishes to. Tried what is presently recommended and Yahoo keeps being forced on me. Wake up Firefox. You are the best browser but this is unacceptable.

Where are you seeing Yahoo? Does a refresh help? Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; (<Control> [Mac=<Command>] <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ Yahoo “ Anything.

Also remove SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine

Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

As of Firefox 57.0 and later any locales of Firefox that had Yahoo as the search engine default was changed back to Google as the default ...reluctantly and Yahoo was completely removed from Fx 59.0 and on. https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2017/11/14/firefox-features-google-as-default-search-provider-in-the-u-s-canada-hong-kong-and-taiwan/

Some of the known reasons for the change is in https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2017/12/05/mozilla-files-cross-complaint-against-yahoo-holdings-and-oath/ and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/712925

So how are you seeing Yahoo in Firefox?

To see Yahoo something in Firefox could be due to some maleware or a Extension that added it.

Well the official Firefox builds from mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ does not come with anything Yahoo and the only thing before was the search engine.

You can view Yahoo websites in Firefox like yahoo.com yes.
