Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

Fred, that is more of a issue for on Windows and not on Linux.

Jeyabalaji.Jawahar try starting Firefox in a Terminal as there may be error messages that may help explain why Firefox is not starting.

Also check for updates for Firefox in your package manager as some Linux provided builds of Firefox 60 and 61 releases and 60 ESR (all builds not from Mozilla) had issues until a update was made by them.

Thanks for your reply. When I tried to open firefox from terminal it's saying "Segmentation Fault".

Should be more to the error but based on that in a little bit of searching got me thinking it could be maybe you do not have GTK 3.4 (three.four) or later installed?

On http://distrowatch.org/table.php?distribution=centos the GTK for 6.10 and 7 has GTK as 2.24.x

Firefox for Linux since 46.0 (released on April 26, 2016) has required GTK 3.4 (three.four) at minimum to run though most pretty recent distros in last few years (that is not Long Term Support or LTS) have at least say GTK 3.12 (from 2014) as the current is 3.22.x

Some Linux distros may have delayed this change from GTK 2.18 to 3.4 minimum for a while in their own packaged builds of Firefox.

Though I would think that if you could install Firefox 60.1.0 ESR in package manager it would have the GTK 3 dependency.
