Firefox crashes

The crashes also happen in safe mode. I have tested Firefox 52.8.1 on linux mint 18.3 cinnamon and ubuntu 16.04 with no crashes.

The Socorro crash server doesn't have symbols for a Firefox from the Ubuntu repositories, so there is much to tell about these crashes because there are only addresses available and no link to the source code.
Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server, If that version still crashes then at least we get a proper crash report.
Otherwise you will have to visit the Ubuntu support forum.
