just came back to firefox ,i missed it. how come the bookmarks are all gone and they have a new system? I lost them and had to put them back in. is this better

Do you remember what Firefox version you were using before? Several months ago, the new Firefox; Quantum, came out.
Some loved it, some do not.
As to your profile,
Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?
