duplicate of [/questions/1197267] thread. I used to make copious use of the ChatZilla extension in Firefox for IRC (Internet Relay Chat) in Firefox. Unfortunately it perished in the Quantum upgrade. What can I use instead to access IRC? I'maware that there are a couple of web-based IRC things, but the ones I've seen (Mibbit and Kiwi IRC) I didn't like verymuch. Logging in seemed very fiddly, unless I'm going about it wrong. What I really liked about ChatZilla was the convenience of not having tolog into anything, just access a channel rightthere as and when you needed it. Also the lovely, simple, animationless, adless, text interface. Opinions gratefully received, please.
