Hi

Thank you for raising this concern.

If you can advise what the Russian text is translating as, I will see what I can do to get this rectified.

I didn't see an original (English) article. So, can't advice something about translation.

philipp, yeah, in original it is some better. But in Russian sounds like the translator (author) has drunk a bottle of vodka before and was ready for total madness.

It's hackwork.

Also, in total the description may be better. You told about functions that nobody (me too) uses or little percent. But in FF are or were (goodbye full themes, XUL) more interesting functions.

About translation: The first sentence is incorrect. Original tells about FF, translated - about Internet. The third sentence is incorrect, because what did you try to tell by "personal browsing experience"? You have got "personal" as "personal" in Russian, there is not correct to use "personal" without translation, because you have lost a mean. After "Fast, Smart, Yours" the first sentence is crazy. Russian version tells about come back a control, but it must be lost before. "SEARCH INTELLIGENTLY & GET THERE FASTER" The first indent about forecaster's job.

And more...

"- Open as many tabs as you like without losing track of your open Web pages." I tried. After fifth tabs browser is almost dead. In total the description is not about browser but some magic. Why here is nothing about features of Firefox and Mozilla try to get rid of these?

Argh, I again misclicked and pressed "Solved" >_<

Could you deleted my copy of mesage? I didn't see "Edit" button before. Thanks.

Hi! Thank you for reporting. We're open to any suggestions on how to improve translations. The first sentence is incorrect. Original tells about FF, translated - about Internet. Here you're wrong. Original senstense is "Experience a fast, smart and personal Web." I doesn't talk about Firefox, it's about Web. The third sentence is incorrect, because what did you try to tell by "personal browsing experience"? You have got "personal" as "personal" in Russian, there is not correct to use "personal" without translation, because you have lost a mean. Here I can agree. It don't sound good. So which word you can suggest us to use? SEARCH INTELLIGENTLY & GET THERE FASTER The first indent about forecaster's job. I don't understand why you mean forecasters. What cound you suggest you to use? Change "SEARCH INTELLIGENTLY" to something like "SMART SEARCH"?

I think other things that you say related to original English texts.

"Experience" with something, somehow... "Your Internet will be..." by sudden occasion. New phrase "My (yours) Internet" that the original don't include. Where is "My Internet" and where is not? Why? It sounds well as is.

And... Are is it really translated this by Pontoon? It is rather bad idea for big text. Mozilla, send SUMO's articles to Pontoon and you'll get "drunken man" result too.

Hi everyone,

Since this is a support forum for issues with Firefox itself (not the l10n of marketing content for it), I am going to close and remove this thread from this part of the support forum.

A bug has been filed in the right place (thank you, Philipp!) (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1373322) and you can follow up there and with the Russian localizers.
