video format or mime type is not supported , mac , firefox
hi there ,
i'm using a macbook pro , os 10.12.2 , firefox 51.0.1 (64-bit) . i used to watch news from a website which is playing what its tv station's playing at the same time , until today . "Video format or MIME type is not supported ." is what i can get from that site today . i've refreshed the site for a lot of times , have quitted & opened FireFox again , still can't play it .
any advice ? thanks a lot !!!

This is about the HTML5 media player and not about a plugin like Shockwave Flash. It is possible that the website has changed from using a Flash based player (object tag) to the HTML5 media player (video tag).
Does the Web Console ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer) show more information about what file types are offered by the website?
thanks . i tried to learn info about the Web Console (which i know nothing , i'm sorry) . i refreshed the site and found a lot of things popping up there . among those , i could only find this make a bit sense .

thanks . but it's a live feed or stream or whatever it's called ( i'm a real dummy here , sorry ) . also , when i encountered this problem , i went to Chrome directly and it could b played there with no problem . Thus , that's what i'm doing now , using Chrome to play that link ; yet , i'd like to know if there's any way i can solve it here in FireFox .

If it is a stream (or a file with stream URIs) and not a playable file then you probably can't download and save it.
yeah , it's a live streaming . just don't know why it started refusing to play with FireFox . in the meantime , i can only use Chrome to watch it ......
