I need a full download of Firefox so i can install it remotely. The machines I will be installing on have extremely limited Internet access. I don't want to start the install and need it to download updates. I need the exe to be as fully automated as possible and be able to download on a machine that has locked down Internet access. I have a Firewall that has specific sites whitelisted and cant open up just to get the install to work.

You may obtain full installers rather than stub installers from here:

Alternatively you may be interested in the Extended Stability Releases (ESR)

The .exe installers may be manually transferred to the machines, and should not need any additional downloads to set up the basic Firefox. However even the ESR release gets updates about every six weeks, but that is generally only critical security fixes, or important repairs rather than new features. However if the browsers are exposed to the internet you may be wise to keep them updated

I am not sure of the potential methods of keeping Firefox updated remotely on a network, although I guess you could resort to re-installing every six weeks or whatever; but that is probably not very satisfactory. However maybe the EWG mailing list (see) will have information on that.

Note if you choose to do updates as the are Released and miss a update then you will get a full patch instead of a small partial.

Thanks for the help. I am installing this to a retail POS machine and would be using MS windows updates for security updates. This is an extremely locked down environment. All sites are blocked with only specifically allowed sites on a Whitelist on our firewall.
